Commissions are currently closed. I am at capacity... unless you have a really good idea that you think I'd be excited to paint :)
I take commissions very selectively. Before inquiring about a commission, please read through the following:
- Current prices can be seen here
- I accept commissions mainly based on my current schedule and whether the subject matter sounds enjoyable to me. Please don't be offended if I decline a request--some concepts simply aren't my favorite thing to paint and would be better suited to a different artist.
- I periodically close my commissions when the list gets overwhelming. If this is the case, you're welcome to check back in in a few months if you're still interested!
- I do not currently offer portrait commissions or commissions featuring people.
- If you're interested in a still life commission, please note that I stage everything in my studio with real objects to create the composition. If I am unable to source an object you would like featured in a still life, I will require something very similar as a placeholder for the staging process. If I need to purchase objects for a still life, the cost may be factored into the final price.
- For still life commissions, I will stage various compositions and send you multiple reference photos to choose from. I will paint directly from the chosen reference. For this reason, I do not typically show sketches for approval.
- I take a 50% non-refundable deposit upfront before I start painting (and staging, for a still life). I will send you a custom link to pay through my website. The final 50% and shipping cost are due upon completion.
- For pet portraits, I prefer working from one specific photo for posing, but it's helpful to have multiple clear, well-lit photos to ensure an accurate likeness.
- If you're looking to commission a gift, I encourage you to contact me at least 3-4 months before you will need it. Depending on my schedule, the turnaround time may be several months.
Please contact me through the form on this page if you're interested in moving forward on a commission!
